Sgraffito Class ~

In this class, you will practice the art of sgraffito! Sgraffito means "to scratch" in Italian, and that's just what you will be doing. Curtis (our potter) has made a cylindrical vessel about 5" H x 4" W, with an applied layer of colored black slip over the outside. This black layer then gets carved away with your own personal design. For additional support we will have stencils available to put together and create a design. 

The class is about 1-1.5 hours long, your finished piece will be dried, fired, and glazed with a clear glossy glaze and be ready for pickup within 2-3 weeks (depending on where the class falls in our kiln firing schedule). 

BYOB, wine, lemonade, whatever beverages you’d like to sip while you carve away!
